Beautiful antique art medal designed by famous Belgian sculptor Paul Maurice Dubois (1859-1938). He was not only a sculptor and a medal engraver. Dubois also designed jewels and produced monuments, statues, low-reliefs, portraits, and allegoric figurine. This medal shows the gracious winged victory lady standing on the globe. Holding a sword and a crown of laurel. It was produced in 1919 and given to the Belgian fighters of world war I.

On the front side is the allegory of the art nouveau lady angel of victory

On the reverse side is the coat of arms flags of the Allied Forces

engraved in French & Dutch: ” THE GREAT WAR FOR CIVILISATION ”
