Beautiful antique brooch for the Roman Catholic order of The Sisters of the Holy Infant Jesus. Founded in 1675 by Father Nicolas Barré in France. The order is focused on the education of children that are less fortunate. And established many schools all over the world. The antique brooch is worked with cloisonné enamel and some gilding wich gives it a beautiful contrast. It shows the coat of arms armory crest with the motto in French : ” Simple in virtue – Steadfast in duty “.
