Rare antique solid silver pendant from the French religious orders The Sisters of Charity, later the Children of Mary Immaculate. The Sisters of Charity were founded in 1633 by Saint Vincent de Paul and Holy Louise Marillac. In 1837, Saint Catherine Labouré, also a member of this order, founded The Children of Mary. This is a beautiful unengraved nun medal from these orders, probably dating from the end 19th century.
