Superb antique bronze art medal minted for the 1910 Universal Exposition of Brussels. It was designed by the famous Belgian artist Godefroid Devreese (1861-1941). This artist was not only a sculptor but also a medal and coin designer. He produced monuments, statues, busts, mythologic compositions, and fountains. Devreese minted more than 400 medals and was considered as an innovator. This medal is a fantastic addition for a collector of Devreese art or of Universal Expositions.
