Beautiful vintage art medal for the members of the ancient students of the Jesuit school. The Notre Dame College of Tournai, in Belgium, was founded in 1562 by the Jesuit order. The religious symbol “IHS” is a Christogram. A monogram for the name of Jesus Christ. It is also admitted being an abbreviation of Iesus Hominis Salvator (Jesus, Savior of the man).  This symbol is also the coat of arms for the Jesuit order.
