Portrait of Saint Remi, bishop of Reims, who was able to convert the first king of France and pagan, Clovis, to Christianism. His baptism anchored France forever since in Catholicism. Saint Remi is known to be a clever diplomat and fervent Christian. On the reverse side are engraved the famous words of Saint Remi to the Frankish King Clovis.
